UStore:面向新型硬件的统一存储系统屠要峰1,2韩银俊2金浩2陈正华2陈兵11(南京航空航天大学计算机科学与技术学院南京211106)2(中兴通讯股份有限公司南京210012)(tu.yaofeng@zte.com.cn)UStore:UnifiedStorageSystemforAdvancedHardwareTuYaofeng1,2,HanYinjun2,JinHao2,ChenZhenghua2,andChenBing11(CollegeofComputerScienceandTechnology,NanjingUniversityofAeronauticsandAstronautics,Nanjing211106)2(ZTECorporation,Nanjing210012)AbstractTheexplosivegrowthofdatascalehasmadedistributedstoragewidelyused.Foralongtime,distributedstoragedirectlyusesthelocalfilesystemtoaccesslocalstorageresources.Withtheemergenceofhigh-performanceNVMeSSD,PMEM(persistentmemory),andheterogeneousaccelerationdevices,itisdifficultforthelocalfilesystemtogivefullplaytothefeaturesandperformanceadvantagesofnewhardware.ManyexistingresearcheshaveoptimizedandimprovedtheperformanceaccordingtothehardwarecharacteristicsofSSDorPMEMatthesoftwarelevel.However,thesestudieshavepoorcompatibilityandscalability,cannotflexiblyadapttochangesinthehardwareenvironment,andlackaunifiedsolutionfornewkindsofhardware.AunifiedstoragesystemUStorethatiscompatiblewithmultiplestoragemediaisproposed,whichcanflexiblyselectstoragemediaaccordingtobusinessscenarios,andoptimizethecombineddesignoftypicalhardwaresuchasPMEM,KVSacceleratorcards,andNVMeSSDs,andmakefulluseofitshardwarecharacteristicstomeetmultipleneeds.Throughametadatadesigndecoupledfromthephysicalstoragemedium,UStorecanadapttotheperformanceandatomicupdateabilityofdifferenthardwares,andrealizeaflexiblemetadatamanagementstrategy;throughtheefficientdatamanagementmechanismandupdatestrategy,thelogfreedataatomicwriteguaranteeisrealized,andthewriteamplificationandperformancejitteroftheexistingsystemareeliminated.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatcomparedwithBlueStore,UStore’s4KBrandomreadperformanceisimprovedby3.2×,andthe4KBrandomwriteperformanceisimprovedby8.2×.Underthreetypicalhardwarecombinations,UStoreshowsmatchingdataaccesscharacteristics,givingfullplaytothecharacteristicsandperformanc...
