ORIGINALARTICLEPetrochemicaleigenvaluesanddiagramsfortheidentificationofmetamorphicrocks’protolith,takingthehostrocksofDashuigoutelluriumdepositinChinaasanexampleJianzhaoYin1•ShoupuXiang2•YuhongChao3•YuhanYin4•HongyunShi5Received:29March2022/Revised:28October2022/Accepted:3November2022/Publishedonline:5December2022©TheAuthor(s),underexclusivelicencetoSciencePressandInstituteofGeochemistry,CASandSpringer-VerlagGmbHGermany,partofSpringerNature2022AbstractTheDashuigoutelluriumdepositistheworld’sonlyknownindependenttelluriumdeposit.Byrestoringmetamorphicrocks’protolith,weseektounderstandnotonlythedevelopmentandevolutiontrajectoryoftheregionbutalsotheoriginoftherelevantdeposits.Whiletherearemanywaystorestoremetamorphicrocks’protolith,wetakethehostmetamorphicrocksofDashuigoutelluriumdepositandleveragevariouspetrochemicaleigenvaluesandrelateddiagramspreviouslyproposedtorevealthedeposit’shostmetamorphicrocks’protolith.Thepetro-chemicaleigenvaluesincludemolecularnumber,Niggli’svalue,REEparityratio,CaO/Al2O3ratio,Fe3+/(Fe3+-+Fe2+)ratio,chondrite-normalizedREEvalue,loga-rithmicREEvalue,variousREEeigenvaluesincludingscandium,Eu/Smratio,totalREEamount,lightandheavyREEs,dEu,Euanomaly,Sm/Ndratio,andsiliconisotoped30SiNBS-28%,etc.ThepetrochemicalplotsincludeACMs,100mg-c-(al+alk),SiO2-(Na2O+K2O),(al+fm)-(c+alk)versusSi,(FeO+Fe2O3+TiO)–Al2O3–MgO,c-mg,Al2O3–(Na2O+K2O),chondrite-normalizedREEmodel,La/Yb-REE,andSm/Ndratio,etc.Onthebasisofthesecomprehensiveanalyses,thefollowingcon-clusionsaredrawn,startingfromthemanymantle-derivedtypesofbasaltdevelopedinthestudyareaofdifferentgeologicalages,combinedwiththepreviouslypublishedresearchresultsonthedeposit’sfluidinclusionsandsulfurandleadisotopes.ThedepositisformedbymantledegassingintheformofamantleplumeinthelateYan-shanianorogeny.Thedegassedfluidsarerichinnano-scalesubstancesincludingFe,Te,S,As,Bi,Au,Se,H2,CO2,N2,H2O,andCH4,whichareenrichedbynano-effect,andthenrisetoacertainpartofthecrustintheformofmantleplumealongthelitho...
