ORIGINALARTICLEGenesis,metallogenicmodel,andprospectingpredictionoftheNibaogolddepositintheGuizhouProvince,ChinaWeifangSong1,3•LulinZheng2•JianzhongLiu1,4,5•ShengtaoCao1•ZhuojunXie6Received:22May2022/Revised:14September2022/Accepted:16September2022/Publishedonline:4November2022©TheAuthor(s),underexclusivelicencetoSciencePressandInstituteofGeochemistry,CASandSpringer-VerlagGmbHGermany,partofSpringerNature2022AbstractSouthwesternGuizhouprovinceisoneofChi-na’smostimportantdistributionareasofCarlin-typegolddeposits.TheNibaodepositisatypicalgolddepositinsouthwesternGuizhou.ToelucidatethegenesisoftheNibaogolddeposit,establishametallogenicmodel,andguideprospectingprediction,wesystematicallycollectedpreviouslyreportedgeological,geochemical,anddatingdataanddiscussedthegenesisoftheNibaogolddeposit,basedonwhichweproposedthemetallogenicmodel.EarlierworksshowthattheNibaoanticline,F1fault,anditshangingwalldraggedanticline(Erlongqiangbaoanti-cline)wereformedbeforeorsimultaneouslywithgoldmineralization,whileF2,F3,andF4faultspostdategoldmineralization.Regionalgeophysicaldatashowedexten-sivelowresistivityanomalyareasneartheSBT(thepro-ductoftectonicslippageandhydrothermalalteration)betweentheP2/P3andthestrataoftheLongtanFormationintheSSEdirectionofNibaoanticlineinthelowerplateofF1andhangingwalldraggedanticline(Erlongqiangbaoanticline),andtheanomalyareasaredistributedwithintheinfluencerangeofanticlines.Simultaneously,soilandstructuralgeochemistryshowthatF1,Nibaoanticline,Erlongqiangbaoanticline,andtheirtransitionareasallshowgoodmetallogenicelements(Au,As,andS)assem-blageanomalies,withgoodmetallogenicspaceandprospectingpossibilities.Therearefivemainhypothesesaboutthesourceofore-formingfluidsandAuintheNibaogolddeposit:(1)relatedtotheEmeishanmantleplumeactivity;(2)sourcefromtheEmeishanbasalt;(3)meta-morphicfluidmineralization;(4)basinfluidmineraliza-tion;(5)relatedtodeepconcealedmagmaticrocks;ofthese,themainstreamunderstandingisthefifthspecula-tion.Itisacknowledgedthattheore-form...
