英语演讲稿：MyDefinitionofSuccessItiseasytodescribesuccessintermsofmoney,fameandreputation.ButIbelievethatsuccessisnotexternal.Ibelievethatsuccesscomesfromwithin.Mydefinitionofsuccessistobetruetoyourself,andbetruetoothers.Thatmeans,thatyoumustcherishyourpersonalidealeveninthefaceofadversity.Ialsobelievethatsuccessisnotdiscriminatory.SuccessisnotrestrictedtosuchaCLASSofpeople,infact,itmaybeachievedbyanypersonirrespectiveofhisrace,creed,genderandeconomicbackground.AgoodexampleofsuccessisthatofBeethoven.Heisoneoftheworldsmostfamouscomposers,yethewasdeaf.Hecouldnothearthemajesticpiecesofmusicthathecreated.Yet,inthefaceofthisadversity,hewasabletomaintainhisideals--thatofcomposingmusic.Toexemplifywhatsuccessmeanstome,Iposeaquestiontoallofyou.WhatbringsustogetherheretodayIbelievethatitisthebeautyofthespokenword.Theeffectofpauseandthesoundofrhetoricareuniquetothespokenword.Ibelievethebeautyofthespokenwordisevenstrongerforthosewhohavedifficultyinexpressingthemselves.Thesepeoplearereclusiveandhadtheiremotionshiddenwithinthem.IoncewenttoAustraliaandIsawtwopictures,Oncewasdrawnbyanormalchild,theotherwasdrawnbyachildwithsocialinhibitions.Thepicturedrawnbythenormalchildwassimpleandplain.Theotherwaslife-like,fullofdetailsandimagination.Whatthisshowsisthattheseareideas,emotionsandfeelingsthatarelockedinternallyinthesechildren.Myidealistobethekey,spreadingthebeautyofthespokenwordstothesechildren.Thesechildrenhavebeenneglected,butIfeelthatIcanandshouldhelpthesechildrentofindthemselvesandbeabletoexpressthemselves.Irealizethatthisisadifficulttask,andtherearemanyobstaclesontheway.ButIbelieveinmyidealsandIwillsticktothem--eveninthefaceofadversity.Weshouldneverhaveaprematureabortionofideals--letthechild,letourideals,standthechallenge.Foralifewithoutidealsisnotliving.Thankyou!
