Designation:D810917Standard Guide forWaterproofing Repair of Concrete by Chemical Grout CrackInjection1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D8109;the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,in the case of revision, the year of last revision.A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.Asuperscript epsilon()indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1.Scope1.1 This guide describes the selection of materials,installa-tion methods, and inspection required for sealing leaks atcracks in concrete building walls and slabs using chemicalgrout. The process discussed in this guide is a waterproofingrepair in which voids in a concrete element are sealed with areactive solution, installed by pressurized injection throughdrilled or surface-mounted ports.1.2 This guide does not address the use of chemical groutfor waterproofing by curtain grouting or injection into pre-placed permeable waterstop tubes.Injection of masonry ele-ments presents additional factors beyond the scope of thisguide. This guide does not address the use of injectablematerials for structural repairs,or for geotechnical applicationssuch as soil stabilization.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns,if any, associated with its use.It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety, health, and environmental practices and deter-mine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.5 This international standard was
